Tanchou is the bird that was considered to be a bird of an immortal for a long time in China. This artwork is the figure of the beautiful white crane with a red crest dancing in the snowy field like an angel.
Uemura Atsushi loves birds deeply, and he lives with more than 1,800 birds in his very large garden called Reikinsou. This is the elegant artwork that is filled in the force painted by him called the painter of birds.
His grandmother is the bijin-ga painter, Uemura Shoen, and his father is the kachou-ga painter Uemura Shoko. He inherited the lineage of the great Japanese painter who were given the Order of Culture, and made full use of his modern sensitivity, and he built the original art world. He opened the exhibition in sequence in not only Japan but also the many parts of the world and won the Japan Art Academy Prize in 1995. |
